Privacy Policy for Japa Yoga

This Privacy Policy describes how Japa Yoga (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our Android application. By installing or using Japa Yoga, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Who we are

Japa Yoga is a meditation and japa mala counter application designed to help you track mantra repetitions with a calm, distraction-free experience. The App is published in connection with Innovray / Shree Ji Technovation.

2. What the App does

Japa Yoga provides features such as:

• On-device japa / mala counting for meditation practice
• Optional sound or haptic feedback during counting
• Local preferences (for example, count targets and display settings)
• Offline use for core counting functionality
• Advertisements that help keep the App available

3. Information we collect

We aim to collect only what is needed to run the App, show ads, and improve stability. Information may include the following categories.

3.1 Information stored on your device

• Practice data: counters, session progress, mala settings, and similar preferences stored locally on your device.
• App settings: options you choose within the App (for example, sound on/off or display preferences).

This local data is stored on your device and is not uploaded to our own servers as part of the core counting experience.

3.2 Information related to advertising and analytics

The App contains advertisements. Ad networks and related SDKs (for example, Google AdMob or similar partners) may automatically collect or process information such as:

• Advertising ID / resettable device identifiers
• Device information (model, OS version, language, screen metrics)
• IP address and approximate or network-derived location
• App activity related to ad impressions, clicks, and performance
• Diagnostic or crash-related technical data, where enabled

Exact data points depend on the SDK configuration, your device settings (including advertising ID / personalized ads controls), and the ad partner’s own practices. We do not sell your personal information as a standalone product.

3.3 Information we do not intentionally collect

• We do not require you to create an account to use the App
• We do not ask for your name, postal address, or payment card details in the App
• We do not request access to your contacts, photos, or microphone for core japa counting

4. How information is used

Information is used to:

• Provide and remember your on-device counting experience and preferences
• Display advertisements and measure ad performance
• Maintain App functionality, security, and compatibility
• Respond to support requests you send us by email
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

5. Third-party services

Third-party advertising or analytics providers may process data under their own privacy policies. When you interact with ads, those providers may collect device and usage information as described in Section 3.2.

Common examples include Google advertising / measurement services (such as AdMob). Please review the relevant partner policies for details, for example Google’s advertising and privacy documentation available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

The App may also link to external sites (for example, our website or social profiles). Those sites are governed by their own policies.

6. Permissions and device features

Depending on your Android version and App build, the App or its ad SDKs may use network access and other system capabilities needed to load content and ads. If approximate location or similar signals are processed, this is typically for advertising, fraud prevention, or content relevance by ad partners—not for mapping or continuous tracking by us for the japa counter itself.

You can manage advertising preferences and reset your advertising ID in your device settings (paths vary by manufacturer and Android version).

7. Data sharing

We may share information only as follows:

• Service providers / ad partners: to serve ads, measure performance, and operate the App’s commercial features
• Legal requirements: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity
• Business transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, information related to the App may be transferred as part of that transaction

8. Data retention and deletion

• On-device data: counters and preferences remain on your device until you clear App data or uninstall the App.
• Ad / partner data: retained according to the applicable third-party provider’s policies and retention schedules.
• Support emails: if you contact us, we retain the correspondence as needed to respond and keep basic records.

To remove local App data, use Android’s App info → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall Japa Yoga. For other privacy requests, email contact@sjtechnovation.in with enough detail for us to identify your request. We will respond within a reasonable time consistent with applicable law. Note that we may not control data already processed independently by ad networks; those requests may need to be directed to the relevant provider as well.

9. Children’s privacy

Japa Yoga is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App or related services, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it where required.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of a lightweight meditation counter app. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Please keep your device updated and protected.

11. International users

This policy is publicly available worldwide without a login wall or geographic restriction on this page. If you use the App from outside India, your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate, including jurisdictions that may have different data-protection rules.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when changes are posted. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
